What is resolution?
Resolution is defined as the visual quality of a lossy, rasterized image. The overall quality of the image is based on the number of pixels displayed. An image with high quality displays a high number of pixels; an image with poor quality displays fewer pixels.

- HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) - Develops a webpage by arranging the layout and contents. 
- XPS (Open Paper Specification) - Describes the structure and content of a document.
- CSS (Cascading Style Sheet) - Formats the contents of an associated webpage. 


ANALYSIS OF A FORMAL SHOE STORE WEBSITE


Nike

This is the online product marketing page for the footwear company, Nike. The types of shoes distributed by Nike are similar to STING shoes. The page includes filtering options on the left. They sort the products displayed by a specified filter such as price, type, size, etc. For further customer convenience, there is also a search option on the top right of the page. The color scheme is fairly simple (white and grey). The company's logo (The "Swoosh") is featured on the top left.

WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT INTENTIONS

I plan to fashion a website with WIX explaining the revolutionary features of STING shoes. Including the mud-resisting and terrain-gripping technology; as well as the exceptionally durable material that allows the shoes to overcome the elements that would damage standard footwear.

Another element I will include is the logo that will be featured on the header and the lower banner. Additionally, the webpage color scheme will consist primarily of colors identical to the logo's (black and red).

The Header and "Welcome" Section

For the "Welcome" section, the company logo was placed on the top section of the page. This was done to alert customers of the distributor of the revolutionary footwear products as soon as they opened up the website. In addition, a slogan that I constructed myself: "Confront Nature with Confidence." was also included.

The logo was also added to the header.


The "Products" Section

For the "Products" section, all products are marketed for online purchase. The preview images of the footwear products (provided by WIX) are also interactable. Clicking on either one of them will send you directly to the shop page. For textual color contrast, the background color was set to black. The section was titled "Shop".  The text font style for the title and pricing was set to "Times New Roman" by default configurations. The style was altered to the "Raleway" font.


The "About" Section

The "About" section explains the ultra-special craftsman techniques that make STING shoes particularly unique compared to other shoe brands. For color variation, it was decided to set the color background to red rather than black. A rectangular element was inserted behind the image. A rectangle was specifically selected to be in proportion to the geometric dimensions of the image. This allows for a secondary, shadow-like effect.

The "Features" Section

The "Features" section further explains yet another groundbreaking characteristic of STING shoes: the virtually indestructible material that they are handcrafted from. They can remain in sufficient condition for extreme outdoor activities for extended periods. This ultimately removes the need to buy another pair of outdoor shoes. 

This section features a quote by a fictional customer: "STING may just lead all outdoor shoe industries out of business.As a final addition, an interactable "Browse Shop" button was also added. The button was linked to the shop page and the appearance of the button was then customized to my appeal. The corners were curved and the button was framed with a white line that encases the text.



The Footer

The footer displays additional information and interactable elements. Including a fictional email address and the company's social media links (Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn). Clicking on either one of the icons will send you to the respective media-sharing account owned by STING. The background color was kept white by default. 


PRESENTATION


SLIDE 1: Welcome

The beginning of the slide show. The aesthetics of this slide and the preceding slides were generated by the built-in slide designer. The slide also emphasizes the creator of the slide show (me) and a greeting to the viewer. The font was bolded and the size was increased to improve legibility.  



SLIDE 2: Introduction

The second slide provides a briefing about the intentions and aims of the footwear company STING. The slide features a background image that is provided by the Powerpoint image gallery. The text space includes a main heading, a subheading, and an overview. This same textual scheme was used for most slides.



SLIDE 3: Shipping and Price Negotiation

This slide explains the shipping policies and the pricing of the products.
